Sreemathi, a native of Chennai, India, has over 20 years of experience in the field of education and training. Her expertise lies in designing and delivering programmes in the area of cross-cultural communications and management.

She is the founder and principal consultant of immer besser, a cross-cultural consultancy service based in India. Immer besser is a pioneering Cross-cultural Training Company with a worldwide network of Cultural Experts and Resources. Immer besser has partnered with “Argonautonline”- a high pedigree online tool developed by Coghill and Beery ,UK and Transdemica, Finland to enable people to work effectively in a global context.

She designs and delivers customized workshops for corporates in India and Europe in the area of Intercultural Communications and Global Leadership. She has been retained as a Training consultant by Sap Labs India, Bangalore who have outsourced their Intercultural Training to her consultancy “immer besser”. She has over the last 2 years delivered over 30 workshops for SAP Labs India, Bangalore . Siemens Information Systems, Braun, Patni Computers, Mahindra Bristlecone, M-phasis, Bangalore, Mico Bosch, Sutherland Global Services and Texas Instruments, France are amongst companies where she has delivered training.

Sreemathi also delivers Train the Trainers Programmes for major corporates in India.

Apart from the above workshops she delivers customised India Focus Programmes for top international corporate houses to work smoothly with their Indian colleagues (both near and virtual interactions) and has helped many expatriates make a smooth transition to India and understand the Indian way of life.

On behalf of her Associates in Europe, she has delivered several intercultural workshops and India Trainings for major corporates like Texas Instruments, France, T-Systems and T-Mobile in Germany and AXA Insurance, U.K.

She has long years of experience in the Training the Trainers space and has effectively delivered post TTT coaching sessions in companies like Hewitt Associates.

Sreemathi has undergone the Licensing Training to use “The International Profiler”, a tool to assess the international skills of managers developed by ‘WorldWork”, U.K., which she uses effectively in her Global Leadership and Management Development Programmes.

First President, SIETAR, India

Sreemathi has recently been nominated as the President of SIETAR(Society for Intercultural Education,Training and Research),India. Sietar is an international Professional Body of Interculturalists and has an NGO status in the United Nations and European Economic Council.

A graduate of the University of Madras, Sreemathi is a trained German Language Teacher by the Goethe Institut, with special focus on adult learning techniques, training didactics and intercultural communication. For the Goethe-Institut she co-authored a book on curriculum & teaching techniques for "Adults Learning German as Foreign language" which was prescribed as a broad guideline for senior level courses in all Goethe Institutes in the countries of South Asia, the main didactic principles behind the programme being "Learning to Learn" and intercultural communication.

Sreemathi has undergone Train the Trainer Programmes of several international companies where she delivers the training on behalf of her partners/associates from different parts of the world.

She has also presented papers in International Seminars in Germany, Switzerland and France.
She is member of the professional body of inter-culturalists, SIETAR, Europe, contributing Editor of the International Management Journal published by ICFAI Business School, Chennai and the India Resource for many intercultural training organisations in different parts of the world.

Sreemathi, born in a family of renowned writers, has been associated with the world of performing art and literature all her life. She has long years of experience in the field of media having contributed articles to the newspapers and anchored Programmes on Indian Televison. She is a writer and commentary speaker on the Panel of Films Division of India.

Sreemathi’s love for languages and her talent are reflected in the fact that she is fluent in English and German equally amongst foreign languages and Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Gujarati amongst Indian Languages. Her training languages are English and German.

P.Ramnath holds a B Tech in Chemical Engg from the prestigious IIT Madras and a Post
Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from IIM Ahmedabad and has over 30 years’ experience in senior managerial positions in Industry with leading companies in India such as Asian Paints, the Murugappa group and Atofina of the Total group of France

In the course of his career he has worked closely with overseas collaborators for technology transfer, market and application development and sourcing of products and equipment. As Head of the Netlon Division in the Murugappa group, he had close business interactions with Netlon,UK. As MD of Hi Tech Plast Containers Ltd, Pune he set up a green field project for a new concept in polymer packaging in technical collaboration with Erik Bock, a Danish technocrat. As CEO and Director on the Board of joint venture companies of Atofina, France, Morganite,UK and Thermal Ceramics,USA in India he has piloted major modernization and upgradation programmes to achieve international quality certification for the products and successfully developed new export markets in SE Asia, Australia etc. In the course of his responsibilities in upgrading plant and product technology for the automotive, plastics and ceramic markets as a Strategic Business Unit Head/CEO of different businesses he has sourced products, equipment from countries such as Taiwan and USA and internalized know how from Germany, Italy etc

Ramnath has represented his employers at various Industry Associations and participated at various trade fairs in UK,Europe,Singapore and has travelled widely for business, export and pleasure.He has studied and worked in different regions in India, chiefly in Delhi and Shimla in the North; Mumbai, Pune and Ahmedabad in the West; and Hyderabad and Chennai in the South.

Ramnath brings with him a wealth of experience in the area of cross-cultural management with a global perspective. He is currently Dean, ICFAI Business School, Chennai.

Ramnath speaks Tamil, Hindi, English and German with equal proficiency and is well conversant with the cultural aspects of life in Germany through an 8 week programme he attended at the Goethe Institute, Goettingen,Germany to study the language and culture of the country.

S. Shyam Sundar

A mechanical engineer from the College of Engineering, Guindy in Chennai, he graduated with a Bachelors degree in 1970. He followed this up with a Business Management program at IIM Ahmedabad from where he graduated in 1972.

He worked with a diversified Indian engineering company in the Marketing discipline till 1974, when the entrepreneurial bug bit him in 1974

In late 1974, he teamed up with two other class -mates from IIM Ahmedabad to co- found an independent Market Research company- Marketing Business Associates (MBA). He was involved in the Market Research business till 1989. During his tenure in MBA, he was responsible for bringing clients like Citibank, Whirlpool etc as key accounts for MBA. He was spearheading the introduction of Multivariate techniques to Indian clients, through linkages with leading academics from the USA. MBA has since been acquired by Gallup Inc in early 2000.

He co-founded Magus Customer Dialog Pvt in 1989 with the same team of classmates from IIM Ahmedabad. He has been involved in conceptualizing and driving Magus from its inception.

Magus is today one of the largest service providers in the Customer Retention space with facilities and operations in 11 Indian cities with a strength in excess of 2300 people. He has been involved in business development and managing client relationships since the inception of Magus. He has a deep understanding of the ongoing contact strategies and what it means to deliver outsourced services to brand conscious Indian and Multi national brands in India. He has been involved in working and ensuring successful outsourcing relationships with a large client base in the Telecom, Financial services, Media and Consumer Products.

He is also the founder member of the Market Research Society of India, the Direct Marketing Association of India. He is a member of the ITES- BPO Panel of NASSCOM the leading trade body representing the Software services and ITES- BPO industry in India. He has spoken at NASSCOM seminars and has also chaired the events with specific reference to The Domestic Outsourcing Opportunity in India.
